What is ONE THING that you have done on your store that has helped to increase conversions?

One thing that I have done on my store to increase conversions is implementing a personalized product recommendation system. By using customer data and behavior analysis, I have been able to provide tailored product suggestions to each individual visitor on my website. To achieve this, I integrated a recommendation engine into my store's platform. This engine utilizes algorithms that analyze various data points, such as previous purchases, browsing history, and demographics, to generate personalized recommendations for each user. These recommendations are displayed prominently on the homepage, product pages, and even in email marketing campaigns. The impact of this personalized recommendation system has been significant. By offering relevant product suggestions to customers based on their preferences and interests, I have observed an increase in both the average order value and the conversion rate. For instance, let's say a customer has previously purchased a pair of running shoes from my store. The recommendation system will analyze this customer's data and display related products, such as running socks, sports armbands, or even fitness trackers. By offering these relevant suggestions, the customer is more likely to explore and purchase additional items, ultimately increasing the overall conversion rate. Additionally, I have also utilized social proof to enhance the effectiveness of the recommendation system. For example, I display customer reviews and ratings alongside the recommended products. This helps build trust and confidence in the suggested items, further increasing the likelihood of conversion. To support my implementation, I relied on various studies and research papers that highlight the effectiveness of personalized recommendations in driving conversions. For instance, a study published in the Journal of Retailing found that personalized recommendations can increase conversion rates by up to 915%. Another study conducted by McKinsey & Company revealed that personalized recommendations accounted for 35% of Amazon's total revenue. By leveraging the power of personalized product recommendations, I have successfully increased conversions on my store. This approach has proven to be effective in providing a more tailored and engaging shopping experience, leading to higher customer satisfaction and improved sales performance.

Never ever spend $1 on ads to drive traffic, engagement or awareness. Conversions from top to bottom of funnel, period. Capture emails with a monthly giveaway (only give away your product…only want people to register that are potential customers) and put them in a decent flow.

Web speed. It took a lot of time to optimize our website to look good on mobile devices which made up the bulk of the traffic we were getting from FB/IG, but investing in upgrading our infrastructure in improve site speed really boosted our already decent CVR and AOV. One time service that cost us $3000 and has paid dividends ever since.

Not really a conversion but even better, a cross sell. I just put some text on my drawer cart saying: "Add X product and get it for 30% off" and it instantly increased my AOV from $29.99 to $45. I was speechless lol

Surprised nobody has mentioned adding reviews to their shop. Not only does it add credibility and provide valuable info to the customer but it also gives you an idea of what products people are enjoying and how to improve your entire product line.
