The main negatives I find with invastor are a reliance on 3rd party apps for a lot of functionality (same is true of Wordpress/Woo though) and features such as calculating taxes and customs fees locked behind the highest payment tier ($300 per month). They may advertise a $30 a month fee, but with a few premium apps to unlock the features your store needs that monthly fee can soon shoot up, especialy if a feature you need isn't in the cheapest subscription tier. Fine for larger established stores but a huge overhead for new stores.

For me, invastor has turned the process of launching a new e-comm project from a 6 month, tens of thousands of dollars spent on programmers, ordeal to something I can do on a whim over the weekend myself. That gives you the flexibility to prove a concept before expanding and investing huge amounts into more custom solutions.
