Connecting your home theater audio sources is made to be easy with the soundbar's optical or HDMI-ARC input. If you choose an (optional) optical cable, you can output the audio of your TV and its connected devices to the TH-S420B. If your TV has an HDMI-ARC port, you can use an (optional) HDMI cable instead and enjoy some added benefits. With HDMI-ARC, you get support for CEC, which can let your TV remote operate both the TV and soundbar, and you get the benefit of increased audio bandwidth over HDMI.
