The 4K6020Z features HDBaseT and two HDMI inputs to connect to nearly any digital device. The projector is controllable via the included wireless remote control, Ethernet, or RS-232 with various control software options, or via the Canon PJ App from your compatible iOS device.
Native DCI 4K Resolution for Lifelike, Detailed Images
At 4096 x 2160 resolution, DCI 4K resolution can generate a bigger, richer image made up of more than 8.8 million pixels, meeting the Digital Cinema Initiative (DCI) standard for 4K cinema as well as the QFHD standard resolution (3840 x 2160) for 4K UHD TV. This high resolution, four times that of Full HD, can help in a variety of applications ranging from viewing detailed works of art in a museum or gallery to producing accurate video and images with a wide depth-of-field to get as close as possible to a real life experience via a simulation system.
Bright Images with High Dynamic Contrast
The REALiS 4K6020Z can project clear, bright images at up to 6000 lumens with a dynamic contrast ratio up to 22,000:1 when the Dynamic Contrast function is used, helping to ensure deep blacks, bright whites, and vivid color, clarity, depth, and dimension.
Laser Light Source Covering up to 99.9% of the sRGB Color Space
The projector's laser light source provides up to 20,000 hours of use for continuous, reliable projection. Its hours of operation can be nearly doubled when utilizing the Long Duration modes to up to 20 times longer than the life of a conventional lamp.
LCoS Technology with AISYS Enhancement
The AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) Optical Engine utilizes light management technology to help maximize the contrast and brightness benefits of the projector's liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) display panels for augmented reflectivity and durability with high brightness. The LCoS panels are relatively small in size, allowing for an overall comparatively compact projector that delivers high resolution. With the LCoS panels, the pixels are close together, producing virtually seamless images free of grid lines for enhanced clarity.
Seven Interchangeable Lens Options
The REALiS 4K6020Z requires a separately sold lens to operate. Seven options enable a variety of installation options. The spigot lens mount system helps provide quick and secure lens installation. Throw ratio, lens shift, zoom, screen size, focal length, and f# all vary between lens models. Please see the manufacturer's website for more info.
4K Video Playback at up to 60p
Smoothly reproduce uncompressed 4K video at up to 60 frames per second for a natural, fluid feel and detailed, lifelike content.
4K Upscaling
Non-4K content can be enhanced using the BiCubic and Shape Trace technologies, which can detect the contours of an image in a diagonal direction and perform interpolation, to help smooth out the image.
High Dynamic Range (HDR) Compatibility
The REALiS 4K6020Z supports HDR to help produce bright highlights and deep blacks. The wider dynamic range expands the contrast and the color; combined with 4K resolution, this helps enhance the overall viewing experience.
Gamma Restore
The Gamma Restore setting uses an internal sensor to measure the RGB luminance of the LCoS panels and corrects the gradation to the factory default setting.
Light Source Calibration
This function uses an internal sensor to correct the hue according to the aging variation in the laser output. The function automatically runs when the projector is shut down, or you can manually execute it after 30 minutes of operation have passed.
Multiple Image Modes for Optimal Image Reproduction
Image Modes provide different variations of color reproduction characteristics suitable for the image type and projection environment.
Image Adjustment Options
Various image adjustment options are available, including brightness, contrast, sharpness, gamma, color level, color balance, color temperature, gain (RGB), and offset (RGB). More advanced adjustments provide enhanced flexibility for professional users with more adjustment options.
Motion Blur Reduction
This technology helps provide improved visibility when on-screen movement is fast. By inserting extra frames into video content, motion blur is reduced, and the clarity of graphics and text on fast-moving objects is preserved. Three different modes (Strong, Weak, and Off) provide flexibility, with each depending on the level of movement and the type of video content.
Additional Settings and Adjustments
Test Patterns
Up to 28 test patterns are provided to enable smooth installation and adjustment.
Enhanced Connectivity
Connections include HDMI, Wi-Fi (with support for NMPJ functions), and a LAN terminal with a built-in HDBaseT receiver for transmission of A/V signals from a source device. The Ethernet port enables authorized users to manage and control multiple projectors from any computer on a network. USB-A enables easy installation of firmware upgrades, and the 12 VDC trigger output and 1/8" mini jack allow for the connection of an optional wired controller. RS-232 serial connectivity is also onboard.
Network Management
Compatibility with Crestron RoomView, Extron XTP, and AMX Device Discovery helps ensure seamless integration into various systems and infrastructures and smooth network management. Support for PJLink also lets you control and monitor the projector over a network, providing such information as lamp hours, usage, and more.
Built-In Real Time Clock
The built-in Real Time Clock allows scheduling of specific operations, such as set startup and shutdown times, helping you manage power consumption by creating operating schedules, which can help extend projection life. These settings can be accessed via the projector's graphic interface.
Lower Power Consumption and Simplified Maintenance
The projector offers multiple power management settings that allow you to preset standby durations, execute power operations, and auto-assign functions to the power button, all with the benefit of a real-time clock accessible via the web UI or internal GUI. This also helps conserve projector life.
Canon Service Tool for PJ App
The free Canon PJ App makes it possible to control compatible Canon projectors remotely from iOS devices. Onboard Wi-Fi enables the display of the projector menu on the screen of your tablet or smartphone, supporting simplified setup, operation, and maintenance, helping you make adjustments to spherical or domed surface projections where menus may be difficult to view and navigate. The app also helps provide speed and clarity for error correction and allows multi-projection across up to nine projectors, independently and simultaneously.
