Shannah Zola7 days agoI (29F) am married to my husband (29M) through an arranged marriage. We're both Muslim Maranaos from the Philippines, where arranged marriages are a common tradition. Every couple I know from both my family and his family has had an arranged marriage. I’m a general physician, and when we were introduced, my husband was a law student – he still is, currently in his final semester. At the moment, I’m the sole provider for both of us, and I’m wondering if it’s wrong for me to expect him to pass the bar exam, given the reasons he married me and our current dynamics. TL;DR: I’m a doctor married to a law student who feels pressured to pass the bar exams. I’m currently the sole provider, and I’m wondering if my expectations are unreasonable.1432
